Classics of cinema

How would the grand symphonies of the most famous film scores in history sound when filtered through the lens of chamber music? Where is the boundary between the labels of film music and classical music? How do the celebrated melodies that have marked unforgettable moments in our lives transition from the grand orchestral sound to the intimate and personal sound of ten soloists?

The GIO presents this concert, representing a journey through the history of cinema, from the nostalgia of classic black and white films to the epic of contemporary science fiction, with a narrative between musical blocks that will unveil anecdotes and insights from the world of Hollywood, guided by the director and arranger of the show, Marc Timón. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, Harry Potter, The Godfather, Psycho, Casablanca, Life is Beautiful, Schindler’s List…
