Trio Fortuny & Gio Symphonia

Beethoven like you’ve never heard him before

How can our perception of a piece we have always heard the same way change if we alter the listening experience? How is the first hearing of a piece experienced when the context of that auditory experience is not the most common?

This exercise—or game—was the challenge given to Joan Magrané: to compose a new work to be interwoven between the movements of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, as if the two works together formed a single piece.

The GIO Symphonia, accompanied by the Trio Fortuny on their tenth anniversary, will bring this musical experience to life, under the direction of Francesc Prat.
